Friends -
This gourd is a gift for someone that I have
been working with these last 10 months since
I moved to Dept. of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
This individual, who shall remain unnamed,
is a person of rare qualities -- kind-hearted,
patient, modest and dedicated. As most of the
scientists in DPR, he specializes in a type
of pest, and based on the gourd, you can probably
guess what his might be! Sadly, this individual
will be retiring at the end of the fiscal year
and all of us will be wanting for his leadership
and participation. I can't help but imagine
that once he is gone, not only will we miss
him, but rats will take over the world.
As a matter of fact, they seem to be starting in on
this gourd, already!!!
